Unity Technical Artist

You will be working closely with the core development team, software engineers, artists and designers to implement new features and content for our library of games. It will not be uncommon to be working on 2-3 projects simultaneous so the ability to shift focus and mindset are essential.


  • Make bad looking or mediocre looking into gud looking
  • Integrate 3D and 2D assets in Unity without sacrificing artistic vision or exceeding technical limits of minimum specification
  • Bridge the gap between art and engineering by creating specifications for production ready code, including at times prototyping in C#
  • Produce particles, shaders and other VFX for Unity applications
  • Looks for ways to optimize the project such as:
    Bake lighting
    Create/Organize texture atlases
    Ensure properly sized images
  • Utilize Unity's Post Processing system to enhance visuals
  • Develop and maintain art production workflow/pipeline by writing scripts/tools to aid artists to create more efficientlyWorks with 3D modellers

  • You are a Master of the Unity Universe: 3+ years Unity experience including deep knowledge of 3D rendering in Unity as well as Unity animation and particle tools, with Unity 2017.x or newer
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the fundamentals of modeling, texturing/shading/surfacing, rigging, animation, lighting, rendering, scripting, and tool creation
  • Examples of your work that demonstrate that you can overcome technical obstacles in Unity and to create engaging experiencesProduce particles, shaders and other VFX for Unity applications
  • Deep experience optimizing real-time 3D graphics pipelines for desktop and web platforms
  • Understanding of the technical art asset delivery for an entire game for real-time use
  • Strong proficiency in 3D programs (Maya, Blender)
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Profiling and performance optimization of applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work well within a dynamic, cross-discipline, and iterative team environment
